Summer Camp is only weeks away and we are in full swing preparing for all of the campers that will soon be driving down Picciola Rd. and through the gates of camp. We are excited and expectant that God is going to do GREAT things in the lives of not only the Campers, but also the Summer Leadership Team, Adult Volunteers, Worship Speakers, and the Year Round Staff.

The weeks and months leading up to camp are a whirlwind of busyness as we finalize all of the details that are necessary to make camp happen. In February and March we interviewed over 170 amazing young adults who are passionate about loving God and serving campers. Of those applicants, 108 were selected to serve on the 2014 Summer Leadership Team. They are excited and ready to serve. Some of them will begin arriving on May 22nd for lifeguard certification and high ropes certification. The remainder of the Team will arrive on May 29th to take part in a week and a half of training and orientation prior to the first week of campers coming on June 9th!

In addition to interviewing and hiring staff; we have been busy writing and editing curriculum, processing Adult Volunteer applications, we’ve met with our Support Team over two different weekends to plan the schedule and create special activities, and our registration office is working fast and furious to get campers registered for camp.

The next few weeks are crunch time as we put the final details on the summer! We need your help to make this summer the best it can be for these campers. Please consider giving a donation, this money goes to giving financial assistance to campers and buying supplies to give each camper the week of their life!

Also please be in prayer for our summer staff, adult volunteers and all of the campers who will be here this summer. We feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing ministry and hope to see you all at camp this summer!
