Every year, I look forward to my week at camp as an Adult Volunteer (AV)! I come back with a worn out body (I go ALL OUT during praise time!), but a renewed mind and spirit.

I love getting to see the youth and kids from my church try new skills, dance and sing during praise time, and participate in worship. It’s almost impossible to find someone who has gone to camp that doesn’t want to go back.
It’s great to meet youth and kids from other churches while helping out with a skill, eating together, or leading a small group. It’s incredible to see how quickly these Christ centered relationships can build through week.
In the other AVs, you have people who are as passionate and excited about ministry with young people as you are. It’s nice to see you aren’t alone in the struggles and triumphs of what you do.
I am constantly amazed by the counselors and staff of camp! Their patience, sense of humor, and hard work is hard to beat.
I’ve been an AV for about 6 summers now and even though I was just there last week, I can’t wait until next year!
