Our Summer Leadership Team

The summer staff of the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp is made up of 90-100 high school graduates and college students from around Florida, other parts of the country, and the world. We believe that these students have been called by God to be in ministry.  When you watch them interact with the campers, and with each other, you can see the love of Christ shining through them.  These camp counselors, known as, “the team”, give 11 weeks of their lives in service to others.  Before camp begins there is a week of training where the team is brought together to learn the tools needed to make this camp the best it can be.  They have gone through a comprehensive interviewing and selection process, and have been screened by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.  They serve as cabin counselors, craft/skill leaders, small group leaders, they lead games, give devotions, and do so much more. Applications to serve on the team are available each year in November.
