A comprehensive, faith-based study of human sexuality for 5th graders and their parents or guardians, Created by God was developed by Dr. James H. Ritchie, Jr., a pastor, religious educator, writer, composer, husband, father, and grandfather.

Mission

  • To offer reliable information to young persons about human sexuality— anatomy, attitudes, growth and development, relationships, reproduction, responsibility, and safety—built on a foundation of faith.
  • To create arenas of intimacy where young persons feel free to ask all of their questions.
  • To nurture communication skills between parents and preteens.

Important Information Once You've Registered
After registering for the retreat you will receive a confirmation letter outlining details on what to bring and how to get here.  All participants, children and adults will be housed in our lodges and cabins.  Please look at the facilities tab to view these accommodations.  On the registration form, we ask for each participant to help us be aware of any food allergies or special needs you may have.  By providing this information, we are more able to make you stay with us at camp an enjoyable one. 

1.  All adults attending this retreat will be required to have a background check completed on them.  Please sign and return the Background Check Authorization by Friday, February 25, 2011.  Please click the following link if you need a copy of the Background Check Authorization.  You can fax this form to (352) 787-8650 or mail it to 4990 Picciola Rd. Fruitland Park, FL  34731.

2.  If the parent or legal guardian is not attending the retreat with their child, then you will need to fill out a Parental Consent, Medical Treatment Authorization, & Waiver of Liability, Release & Assumption of Risk Form. 

3.  Everyone attending the retreat, adults and children, must fill out our Retreat Waiver.  We will be participating in a wide variety of activities while at camp, including but not limited to our Low Challenge Course.  If you have any questions about activities during this retreat, please contact our Program Manager, Joel Pancoast.
