Mission Statement
The Florida United Methodist Camps and Retreat Ministries seek to provide:
- Welcoming natural places set apart for sacred retreat and community.
- Nurturing experiences in Christian faith, discipleship and leadership; and
- A witness to the servant life of hospitality, earth care, justice and love.
The objectives of the Warren W. Willis UM Summer Camps are:
- To help campers know Christ as friend and Savior.
- To help campers better understand their role as members of the faith and disciples of Jesus Christ.
- To encourage campers to become participants within their local church.
- To help campers learn to live with and appreciate themselves and others.To encourage campers to better appreciate God’s wonderful world and their responsibility to the environment.
- To offer campers the opportunity to build relationships with Christian young people from throughout the state.
